I waited about 3 minutes, but they couldn't get past eachother. There was a glitch where two retreating, injured-but-not-dead goblins tried to retreat in opposite directions, and they just walked into eachother. I did figure out how to do everything on my own (except 'Purple Badger Don't Care, which I cheated with a guide on my replay) on my first playthrough. It was SUPER TEDIOUS (no skipping cutscenes). And the birdbombs in the Hobblepots' hands indicated I used their item at the last scene. Amaya's Wedzel patch, the Hobblepots' white teeth, and Wendel's engagement ring all indicated I achieved their helping hat achievement.
Next would be the goblin holding a surrender flag, because I didn't kill any of the goblins during the attack sequence. Next choice was the jar of eyes, indicating I took the well/Achaka path first, and had to borrow an eye from Manny's jar. Then the cart, showing the table-top wheel, indicating I got the wheel replacement from the Hobblepots.
Instead of being blind/dead(?), or chained up, it's free.
The flying dragon would be my first choice. So, to those who haven't yet played/beat chapter 1, spoilers.
